GHOST RIDER: Eat the Rich!

SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN! By KERRY CALLEN This commissioned cover is a little more straightforward than much of my other work. I drew the black linework, including the logo and such, on Bristol board. You can tell if you scrutinize the lettering. But, in the age of AI, maybe it’s good to have some human-created flaws in our art. — Want more SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN? Come back next week! Want a commission? SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN! In the earliest days of the Golden Age, everyone was ripping each other off, and sometimes it even made its way to court. Like so: Cheeky. Here’s Kerry: I’ve edited this Wonder Woman/Star-Spangled Kid commission slightly. I digitally added pink briefs to Wonder Woman for internet viewing. Even though I think casual nudity is often hilarious, much of the world does not. I try not to (overly) offend when there’s no real need to do so. Naturally, the joke is dependent on the viewer knowing that Wonder Woman’s outfit has a star pattern on her bottom half, much like Star-Spangled Kid’s top. Here’s the Kid’s debut page: And here’s Wonder Woman’s: By the way, did you know Wonder Woman’s original outfit didn’t have a skirt? She actually wore short culottes.
