Homaging GEORGE PEREZ… DC and Marvel’s Facsimile Editions of the final two issues of JLA/Avengers (or Avengers/JLA, if you prefer) will feature brand-new, connecting variant covers by Alex Ross, and boy are they gorgeous. The first one will be released with the JLA/Avengers #3 Facsimile Edition, due from Marvel on July 22: The second will go with Avengers/JLA #4, due from DC on Aug. 26: Here’s how they look together: The variants will go for $5.99 each. The art, which was created exclusively for these editions, is an homage to George Pérez’s cover from 1983’s Comics Interview Special Edition #6: Noice. JLA/Avengers #1 is set for May 27. Avengers/JLA #2 is set for July 1. — MORE — DC and MARVEL Team Up to Re-Release Entire JLA/AVENGERS Series as Facsimile Editions.
