BLUE FALCON Gets the DARK KNIGHT Treatment. Wait, What?

One of the best gags (of many) in the animated Batman ’66 flick Return of the Caped Crusaders was when Adam West’s eternally optimistic Masked Manhunter was turned into an ultraviolent vigilante a la Frank Miller.

Looks like Sholly Fisch, Walter Carzon and co. are taking a page out of the same book in the latest issue of the always-entertaining, criminally unsung Scooby-Doo Team-Up. In Issue #38 — out 5/23 — the Blue Falcon, the very Batmannish hero who was always upstaged by his canine sidekick Dynomutt, goes all grim and gritty and the Scooby kids have to get to the bottom of it.

Could it be he’s … possessed?!
