The four-issue Avengers/JLA Facsimile Edition run wraps up Wednesday with the release of Issue #4.
Much has been made of Alex Ross’ connecting variant covers for the final two installments, but artist Gabriele Dell’Otto stands right there with him, with a new angle on George Perez’s cover for the finale.

As much as I appreciate the iconic visuals of the Perez original and this new remix, I have to say that Superman needs Captain America’s shield as much as I need an antifreeze cocktail.
