Wrapping up MJ’s 60th anniversary week, with DES TAYLOR!

Back in the ’60s it was really common for record albums — particularly of the pop instrumental variety — to have a cover featuring a beautiful woman, for the simple reason that it was a beautiful woman.
The quintessenial LP, of course, is 1965’s Whipped Cream and Other Delights, by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass:

So you just know that if the right agent had walked into the Gloom Room a-Go-Go, the club where she shook her moneymaker, Mary Jane would have found herself on an iconic album cover:
