13 TV COLORING BOOK COVERS to Make You Smile

From Star Trek to Zorro to… Green Acres?!

Last year, our pal Jason Young published his latest retro history book — Whitman’s World of Coloring Books. We covered it at the time but we’re in a coloring mood, so we’ve invited him to return with 13 TV COLORING BOOK COVERS TO MAKE YOU SMILE.

Dig it:

By JASON YOUNG

Whitman’s World of Coloring Books is my love letter to those vintage old-time coloring books we all grew up with. For the most part, my favorites were the comic-book characters (Super Friends, Spidey, etc.), but often overlooked were those based on television shows. They really create a time machine to the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.

I thought it’d be fun to share with you 13 coloring books based on TV shows (each image is from the book). Let us know in the comments if you had any of these or which one is YOUR favorite. And check out how to order your copy of the book about coloring books below.

The Beverly Hillbillies (1963)

Tarzan (1966)

Dennis the Menace (1961)

Zorro (1958)

Mister Ed (1963)

The Lone Ranger (1974)

The Munsters (1966)

The Brady Bunch (1974)

Welcome Back Kotter (1977)
