The comics’ workhorse was born 94 years ago on Jan. 2, 1929…

Not long ago, we posted the TOP 13 BATGIRL ARTISTS OF THE SILVER AND BRONZE AGES. The late Don Heck made the list, of course, given that he illustrated so many of the Dominoed Daredoll’s adventures in the 1970s.

With that in mind — and Heck’s birthday upon us (he was born 94 years ago) — we decided to dedicate an entire column to the artist’s time in Gotham (and Washington, D.C.) with 13 SPLASH PAGES from Detective Comics.
