I was an Electric Company kid in the ’70s and naturally the best part of the Sesame Street spinoff was when Spidey showed up. This was Marvel’s genius — getting their top hero in front of millions of impressionable TV eyes, not just to entertain but to educate.
So it was only natural that there would be a comic to go with it — Spidey Super Stories, which featured a huge cast from the House of Ideas rubbing elbows with the world of the Children’s Television Workshop. And the comics themselves had a field day playing off the pop-culture hits of the time.

These were targeted to very young readers. Compared to today’s offering of kid geared comics, today’s seem to be unnecessarily childish. These were fun to read. The cover art alone is worth the purchase but I also don’t recall a huge difference jumping out at me when I also read the mean stream titles.
