13 Groovy SPIDER-MAN COVERS — Just for Kicks!

Spidey brings a little action to the criminal faction…

I haven’t written enough about Marvel lately, so I figured I’d balance the ledger a little with 13 of my all-time fave Spider-Man covers. See, they’re all represented in the latest Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection: Man-Wolf at Midnight, which covers Issues #124 to #142, Giant-Size Super-Heroes #1 and material from the immortal Marvel Treasury Edition #1.

Overall, this post-Death of Gwen Stacy period — primarily by Gerry Conway and Ross Andru, with John Romita and Gil Kane covers — has a special place in my heart because it’s when I really started reading Spidey comics. So any chance to give it love, I’ll take it.

Dig these 13 COVERS then — and let’s swing!

  1. These covers bring back some fond memories and some great characters. The epic collection has my next project: a 1:9 scale Spider-Mobile.
