  1. Years ago, there was a comic book shop in my town. I can’t remember its name, but its motto was ‘preserving a sense of wonder’ and what I get from Darwyn Cooke’s artwork is exactly that: a sense of wonder, and nostalgia, of course. A great collection here.

  2. My first exposure to his work was on “Catwoman”. I was taken with his style, which I thought was reminiscent of Milton Caniff. It’s such a shame that we lost him far too soon, but what glorious art he left for us to enjoy!
