Neal Adams’ permanent art gallery at his Midtown Manhattan studio is now complete and we’re giving you an EXCLUSIVE inside look with 13 DAYS OF THE NEAL ADAMS GALLERY.
Each day, we’re highlighting one of the pieces of art that adorns the walls of the gallery, complete with Neal’s EXCLUSIVE commentary. You’ll see a diverse selection of pages and covers featuring the characters for which Adams is best known.

Here’s Adams:
“I call this page the Dance of Death. It is a ghoulish and gruesome concept, I admit, but if a person is shot and he doesn’t fall backwards, he can become suspended in a gyroscopic way by the continuing bullets that hit him, so that his body stays upright until the final bullet is shot. This is what is known as the Dance of Death. Of course, Batman is not dead because of his body armor, but the impacts do drive him to unconsciousness in the story, so the analogy runs its full course.”
