So let’s get weird again.

This Ben Cooper costume from what I’m calling the Chris Ecker Collection (click here) is an unhinged near-masterpiece of kitsch:

OK, let’s take a look at Dracula!

The black-and-yellow color scheme works. Striking, alarming, all those good things. You get a great semblance of formal wear down the middle, with eminently cool skull-head buttons.

But then this thing goes way off the Transylvanian rails with Dracula’s face on one side — and in case that was too subtle — DRACULA written inside a bat on the other.

But you know what? It works. That’s a Ben Cooper classic right there.

Except what the hell with that mask?! Those weird red points above the eyes? The unsettling dentistry? That’s horrid! AVERT YOUR EYES!
