13 COVERS: The Groovy Greatness of SCOOBY-DOO TEAM-UP

… And its celebration of DC’s history.

Of DC’s titles, there’s one that stands above them all in terms of embracing and celebrating the publisher’s colorfully storied history:

Scooby-Doo Team-Up.

Yep. Scooby-Doo Team-Up.

The all-ages title, written by Sholly Fisch with art (mostly) by Dario Brizuela, took the best, most recognizable versions of DC’s superheroes and set them down next to Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma for Saturday-morning flavored adventures and mysteries.

Sadly, it all comes to an end Sept. 25 with the release of Scooby-Doo Team-Up #50 — a love letter to 50 years of Scooby history and 80 years of Batman history. (Click here for an EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW.)

But it did get me to thinking that the title deserved its own 13 COVERS salute.

  1. Sorry to see that it’s ending. It was a blast from start to finish! Kudos to Sholly Fisch, who managed to squeeze the maximum comedic mileage out of the concept, but in a fun, knowledgeable and respectful way.
