A gallery with bite — featuring Luis Dominguez, Earl Norem, Neal Adams and MORE…
You think Dracula and comics, you think Marvel’s Bronze Age series The Tomb of Dracula. I mean, why wouldn’t you? Marv Wolfman, Gene Colan and Tom Palmer took what could have been a cliched ripoff and turned it into a bona fide classic.
The Tomb of Dracula wasn’t alone at the Haunted House of Ideas, however. There was also Dracula Lives!, one of Marvel’s many black-and-white mags that, sadly, didn’t last as long as we would have wanted.
We’ve never done a feature on Dracula Lives! but with Halloween upon us, now’s the perfect time.
So check out these 13 COVERS and take a bite out of some horror comics history. (By the by, the series only lasted 13 issues and an annual, so there’s a BONUS 14th cover in there for ya!)

A real shame these B&W magazines are not more appreciated.

I would pay good money to see a movie made out of Annual 1. Dracula going on a rampage in “modern” Times Square?!? G’wan, Drac! Give us the madness that Jason “taking Manhattan” only teased at!

Love the paintings and Doc Savage in the background of issue 1.
