13 COVERS: A TONY DeZUNIGA Birthday Celebration

The late artist was born 90 years ago on Nov. 8, 1932…

When you’re thumbing through your mental Rolodex of great Bronze Age artists, don’t sleep on Tony DeZuniga, who led the wave of Filipino illustrators that emerged in the American comics industry in the 1970s.

DeZuniga was a prolific artist for both DC and Marvel but is probably best known for co-creating the complicated antihero Jonah Hex with writer John Albano in 1971’s All-Star Western #10.

So dig these 13 COVERS, most of which feature comics’ cult-favorite bounty hunter.

Far out.
