13 COVERS: A NEAL ADAMS Birthday Celebration

The artist turns 78!

Since launching 13th Dimension in 2013, I’ve written more about Neal Adams — who turns 78 on Saturday — than any other comics creator and the reason’s pretty simple: He’s my all-time favorite artist.

Easily.

Thing is, much of my focus has been on his Batman work (or Deadman or even Green Lantern/Green Arrow). I’ve never really dug that far into, say, his Superman covers.

So here are 13 COVERS spotlighting Adams’ forays into Metropolis.

Up, up and away…

  3. Adams did some great Superman covers on Worlds Finest in the brief period when it was rotating guest-stars. In particular thinking of the Superman-Dr. Fate teamup where Superman is pulling the world!
