One of modern comics’ most respected artists turns 59…

Kelley Jones loves comics. Breathes them. He’s one of the most passionate creators I’ve ever met (though we’ve only communicated online — he’s West Coast and I’m East Coast).

Jones, who turns 59, was born July 23, 1962. Last year, for our 13 COVERS birthday salute, we gave you Batman.

This year? Detective Comics!
