13 COVERS: A JOHN ROMITA Birthday Celebration

Spidey’s greatest artist turns 88!

A bonus cover! Because I can’t not include it!

Every year, I write: “If Spider-Man is my favorite Marvel hero and John Romita Sr. is my favorite Spidey artist, then I suppose John Romita is my favorite Marvel artist of all time.”

It’s true.

Another bonus cover! Because I can’t not include it!

And even though Romita did so much more than Spidey, I will go back to this well again and again for these 13 COVERS birthday salutes until there are no covers left. I dig his Spider-Man that much.

Yet another bonus cover! Because I can’t not include it!

So here are 13 COVERS to celebrate the incredible legacy of John Romita Sr., who was born Jan. 24, 1930. And if you want to see the 13 COVERS from last year, click here. Year before that? Click here. Year before that? Click here.
