Big John Buscema was one of the great Marvel mainstays — beloved for his Silver and Bronze Age work on titles like The Avengers, Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer.
But for some, Buscema — who was born Dec. 11, 1927, and died in 2002 — is synonymous with Conan the Barbarian.
And it’s the Hyborean Age we return to for this year’s 13 COVERS celebration, seeing as how the Cimmerian is making his Marvel return this winter.
