The DC mainstay has died at 94…
In case you’ve not heard the news, Joe Giella died March 21, his family announced Wednesday.
Giella was one of my favorite Silver Age inkers, particularly on Batman and Detective Comics. But he’s also well known for his runs on The Flash and Green Lantern.
Here is a 13 COVERS tribute, featuring all three DC heavyweights. The Flash, Batman and Detective pencils are by Carmine Infantino. Green Lantern pencils by Gil Kane:
