The fan-fave artist turns 69…

Jim Starlin’s name has been all over the place this year what with the incredible success of The Avengers: Infinity War.

But don’t forget Starlin has spent a lot of time with DC, as well. So to flip the script for this year’s 13 COVERS birthday tribute — Starlin was born Oct. 9, 1949 — we’re gonna take a look at some of his coolest work for the Distinguished Competition.

(Keep in mind, Starlin created his most enduring DC material as a writer, such as the ground-breaking A Death in the Family. This is a tribute to his covers.)
