13 COVERS: A HERB TRIMPE Birthday Celebration

The late Marvel stalwart was born 85 years ago…

The late Herb Trimpe — born 85 years ago, on May 26, 1939 — was best known as the prolific artist on The Incredible Hulk in the Silver and Bronze Ages. But he also drew virtually every other Marvel character at some point over the years — he co-created Wolverine, natch — and was also tapped for different genres.

It’s been a number of years since our last 13 COVERS birthday salute to Trimpe, and we’ve always highlighted the Hulk. This time, we’re spreading the wealth to show off some of Herb’s other work.

Right on.
