You Can Never Have Too Much MARSHALL ROGERS BATMAN Art

It’s true…

Like with John Romita last week, sometimes I just wander off into the internet to see if I can find any Marshall Rogers gems.

This time, I didn’t have to look far. Dig this piece on Heritage Auctions’ website:

The official description:

Marshall Rogers Batman, the Joker, and Silver St. Cloud Full Color Illustration Original Art (1980). The Gotham Guardian in hot pursuit of the Harlequin of Hate, who has abducted Silver St. Cloud, as illustrated by the late, great Marshall Rogers. This mixed media on paper masterwork has an overall size of 20″ x 16″. The art is in Excellent condition. Signed by the artists at the lower right.

It sold in 2011 for $5,078.75, including buyer’s premium.

Groovy.

  1. Recently, I rediscovered some old newspaper clippings I’d saved from back in the day. They were mostly dailies and some Sundays of Rogers’ BATMAN newspaper run. Makes me wish they would get the proper packaging they deserve for us to enjoy. Such a talent!

  2. Thank you for sharing this piece. Rogers has been one of my favorite Batman artists since I was a wee lad. Always enjoy seeing work from him that is “new” to me.
