SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN!
So, y’know that famous panel at the end of 1980’s The X-Men #132, where Wolverine is in a sewer all growly, vowing to kick some Hellfire Club ass the next issue (which would become his star turn)?
Thing about that panel — written by Chris Claremont, penciled by co-plotter John Byrne and inked by Terry Austin — is that it’s the cleanest sewer you’ve ever seen. Especially in New York.
So our pal Kerry sets things right with this new commission:
Boy, Wolvie’s having a shitty day, isn’t he?
Anyway, coincidence of coincidences, the next issue — The X-Men #133, in which Wolverine takes center stage for the first time — is being released Wednesday as a Facsimile Edition. (The Ish #132 FE is out now.)

His first solo cover
Such timing!

Even though I don’t know much about New York’s piping systems, there’s a chance Wolverine fell into the Stormwater sewer and not the Sanitary sewer which is why he looked so “clean” in the original
