VOTE! SUPERMAN & LOIS or SUPERMAN & WONDER WOMAN

DESPOP TUESDAYS!

By DES TAYLOR

The Man of Steel has saved the world countless times, but when it comes to matters of the heart, who really belongs by his side?

TEAM CLARK & LOIS: She’s the fearless journalist who sees the man behind the cape. No superpowers, no magic lasso, just love, loyalty and a knack for getting into trouble. After all, what’s Superman without his Lois?

TEAM SUPERMAN & WONDER WOMAN: Forget ordinary romance. We’re talking about the Man of Steel and an Amazonian goddess! Two legendary heroes, godlike power, warrior spirit and a partnership that could take on just about anything the universe throws at them.

THE CLASSIC COUPLE OR THE POWER COUPLE?

Is true love found in the newsroom, or does the ultimate superhero deserve a goddess at his side?

YOU HAVE A SAY! CAST YOUR VOTE!

Who gets your vote?

A. Clark Kent & Lois Lane: Love, truth and the traditional power of two hearts beating as one.

B. Superman & Wonder Woman: Man and goddess, united as the ultimate heroic duo.

Vote below and tell us WHY! Are you a traditional Clark and Lois fan, or do you believe Superman and Wonder Woman are the ultimate match made in superhero heaven?

Kryptonite might weaken Superman, but your comments could start a whole new battle!

  1. Sorry, but as pathetic it has been shown over the years, Wonder Woman has her own Lois Lane-Clark Kent-Superman triangle with Steve Trevor both as his angel and as bookish Diana Prince. Plus, I’ve always preferred the aspect introduced by John Byrne that Superman sees himself as Clark Kent, Kansas farmboy turned big city reporter, that Superman is the mask he wears to use his powers. He likely sees the myth-flavored Wonder Woman as intimidating as most people do on some level or another, and any romance between them ould be doomed. So I am all for Superman/Lois Lane.

  2. I vote for Lana, or Luma, or Lyla, or Lori!

  3. Superman and Lois, clearly. (Or even Clark and Lois.) She’s loved him and stood by him forever. She sees the man in Superman. As to Wonder Woman, it could be a hot relationship at first, but eventually all they would do is fight about any number of things Superman is a man of peace; Wonder Woman is a warrior.

  5. After 60 years as a DC and Superman fan, I am definitely a Clark and Lois fan

  6. Clark and Lois, hands down. There’s something more special about an ordinary woman that is able to attract this extraordinary man. There’s just something too obvious about him and wonder, woman that comes across as fanfiction almost.

  7. Lois and Clark. At one time, I might have suggested Lana and Clark, but that ship has sailed. This post and the comments have reminded me, though, how much Wonder Woman has changed. She once was known as a woman of peace.

    • Wonder Woman has changed, but most of that change has been in the last couple osf decades. For the purposes of this question, I picked Wonder Woman, so I reserve the right to choose the version of Wonder Woman I like best. Lois has changed a lot over the decades, too. In her case, hopefully for the better. Probably my biggest objection to Lois is that I still can’t help but see her as she was in the 1960s.

  8. Gotta be Lois & Clark for me. A Kansas farm boy swept away by Lois’s Big City feistiness is way more believable than thinking he won’t be totally intimidated by a woman who rubs shoulders with figures from Greek mythology. He would see Wonder Woman as totally out of his league…

  9. If it were up to me, I’d pick Wonder Woman, no contest. But then it’s not me doing the picking, is it? It’s Clark Kent. Or is it? Maybe it’s more accurate to say it’s Lois doing the picking.
