VOLUME 2 of Cult-Favorite 1980 SPIDER-MAN Paperback Series Also Gets FACSIMILE EDITION

Included in the latest crowdfunding campaign for the newspaper-strip reprint collection…

The other day we noted that Clover Press will make its Facsimile Edition of 1980’s cult-favorite The Amazing Spider-Man #1 mass-market paperback available in comics shops in July.

You can read about it over here, but the gist is that the book was produced as part of the publisher’s run reprinting the Spider-Man newspaper strip.

Now, as we surmised — not that it took any particular genius — the second paperback in the brief 1980 Pocket Books series will also get a Facsimile Edition. It’s included in Clover Press’ latest Kickstarter, which includes slipcased editions collecting all the strips covering 1981 to 1984, as well as a load of goodies.

There’s still plenty of time left in the Kickstarter, but if you’re just interested in The Amazing Spider-Man #2 paperback by Stan Lee and John Romita — featuring Spidey battling the Kingpin and the Rattler — it will likely make it to Clover’s website at some point, and then comics shops after that. (Expect a roughly $15 price tag.)

Sadly, there was no third edition of the full-color paperbacks.
