Neat.
The cover of 1973’s The Amazing Spider-Man #129 is one of the most popular of the Bronze Age, featuring the classic first appearance of the Punisher, by Gil Kane and John Romita:
It’s been homaged 1,000,006 times and it only made sense that it would also be the cover for March 2027’s The Punisher Epic Collection: The Punisher Strikes. Thing is, using Spidey’s logo wouldn’t work, so Marvel came up with a pretty nifty solution — swapping in the Punisher’s Bronze Age banner:
It’s a little loose, but I dig it.

THE PUNISHER EPIC COLLECTION: THE PUNISHER STRIKES
The classic stories that defined the Punisher!
When the mob killed his family, Frank Castle went to war. But before he became the scourge of the underworld, the Punisher set his sights on a certain world-famous wall-crawler — on behalf of the maniacal Jackal! Witness Frank’s earliest encounters with Spider-Man — during which Tarantula, Nightcrawler, the Hitman, Cloak & Dagger and the Kingpin of Crime all find themselves in the line of fire! For the Punisher, Captain America’s shield is target practice — but when Frank meets Daredevil, vigilante ideologies clash and a rivalry for the ages begins! Plus: In his earliest solo tales, Frank’s relentless war on crime begins in earnest
