SNEAK PEEK: There’s new, there’s vintage, there’s plenty to stuff stockings!

Christmas is mere weeks away, if you can believe it, and Archie Comics is packing the sleigh with more holiday-themed comics. Two titles — the one-shot Archie Christmas Spectacular #1 (with all-new stories) and Archie Showcase Digest #11: Archie’s Christmas Stocking (with new and classic) — are due out Dec. 7.

Here’s what’s on tap — along with EXCLUSIVE PREVIEWS of two new stories, plus a complete vintage tale illustrated by the great Harry Lucey, from 1970’s Archie Giant Series Magazine #179.

Run, run, Rudolph — Jughead’s gotta make it to town:

We’re celebrating Christmas with a BRAND-NEW story to kick off this collection of festive tales! In “Christmas Pie Guy,” our story begins as an irate Miz Beazley, who’s just had one of her famous Christmas pies stolen! The thief? Beazly believes it to be Jughead and wants to make sure he pays. Seeing her rage, Mr. Svenson tries to spark the Christmas spirit back in his friend—but can it be done?

  1. Great stories! I still read/have huge collection of Archie comics that I still enjoy until this day! [Archie Returns to Riverdale And Back Again] the movie that stars Christopher Rich is a favorite of mine. This version really brings out the characters potential.
