The WONDER GIRL-MARY MARVEL Showdown You Always Wanted

SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN!

By KERRY CALLEN

The very first new comic I bought was Teen Titans #1. It hit the stands in November 1965. As a five-year-old, I couldn’t really read well, but loved it nonetheless. I became a fan of all the characters involved.

When a commission came along that involved Wonder Girl, I was happy to comply. She’s facing off against Mary Marvel, another character I’ve long liked. It was fun to draw them together!

If you’re wondering if I still have my original issue of Teen Titans #1 — Yes! I do.

I should probably get it slabbed before it takes any more damage.

  2. We all have that issue we should have shown more care. If only it hadn’t left such a mark. We loved it to pieces. Mine a Aparo BATMAN, I sure did. I cut it up to make my own comic.

  3. Bottom left corner of your comic … was Stephen Colbert a guest-star in that issue?!?
