The TOP 13 BATMAN ’66 Episodes: THE BEST OF THE REST

BATMAN ’66 WEEK: All the episodes that just didn’t get enough votes — or any at all!

To wrap up BATMAN ’66 WEEK, our 60th anniversary tribute to the great Adam West TV show, we’ve posted our poll of the TOP 13 EPISODES — RANKED.

You can find that list, the names of the voters, how the weighted ballot worked, and how this came together, by clicking here.

But I also wanted to show off how the rest of the episodes fared, the ones that may be favorites to some, but just didn’t make the cut.

So here’s the BEST OF THE REST (the second 13 — actually 14 — vote leaders), plus the also-rans and the episodes that didn’t get even a single vote!

    • I like the one where Penguin ran for mayor.

It is funny because of the commentary on politics and Batman’s eternally optimist take on the electoral system.

Also, it was also used in the movie “Batman Returns”.

  1. Thanks for having me Mr Greeneield and thanks for everything you do to keep the flag flying for this TV show we all love, sixty long years down the line. In my best Zsa Zsa impression, “Happy Anniversary, Darlings…”

  2. Really enjoyed the whole week of features, and the lists today were fun. It’s too rare to be able to see which episodes are other fans’ favorites. Quick question: did The Penguin Goes Straight/Not Yet He Ain’t not receive any votes either? It’s the only story missing from the lists.

  3. I don’t recall the episode with Zelda, but after Charlesfroland1970’s recommendation, I’d like to revisit it.

  4. When the series made it’s debut, l had just turned 6. At that age, l didn’t know any better, but l actually thought it was real. I was really scared in episode 3 (Fine Feathered Finks) when Bruce came into the Penguin’s umbrella shop (K.G. Bird) to put a homing transmitter in the shop. However Penguin had put an alarm which went off, trapping Bruce in a net. After Bruce got gassed, Penguin had his finks put Bruce on a conveyor belt, sending him down to a waiting furnace. After the heat woke him, he threw a “lifetime supply of butane gas” from a lighter and the furnace explodes, knocking Bruce off the belt and escaped. BTW, Episode 4 was titled “The Penguin’s a Jinx”
