A Golden Age fave!

The late Win Mortimer (May 1, 1919 – Jan. 11, 1998) is one of my favorite Golden Age artists and for this year’s 13 COVERS birthday salute, we’re spotlighting the Man of Steel in both Superman and Action Comics.
These covers are from 1948 to 1953.
Swell!

The Superman/Luthor cover could have been the inspiration for Atom #8. https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/The_Atom_Vol_1_8

You are just increasing my need for more volumes of Superman The Golden Age Omnibus!

I agree with Not That Joe…more golden age Superman Omnibi, please!
I only own four original comics from the 1940s, and one of them is Action 129, so that one is special to me. All of these covers are great, though. Thank you for sharing.

Superman #72 was drawn b Al Plastino, not Win Mortimer.

Do you have a source? I see it listed as Win. Both here https://www.comics.org/issue/9109/ and https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?q=Superman+72
