The Original BATCOPTER’s 2018 Summer Tour is Here

A thrill for every Batfan…

Eugene Nock and his Bat-tastic flying machine — the original 1966 Batcopter — are on their annual spring and summer tour and we’ve got this year’s schedule.

For starters, checking out the Batcopter — serial no. N3079G — is something every Batman ’66 fan should try to do, if possible. This is the same Bell 47 that was used in the 1966 movie and seen in stock footage in the second two seasons of the show.

Best part? At some events, you can ride in it. I’ve done it a few times now and it’s an amazing experience. (Click here to see what it’s like.)

Flights cost either $50 or $100 per person, depending on the event. (Comic cons and airshows feature longer flights than the state fairs.)

Anyway, there are four major events on the schedule this spring and summer — with more to come in the fall:

Empire State Fair — Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, N.Y.
Now through May 20

State Fair Meadowlands – Met Life Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J.
June 21-July 8

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh – Wittman Regional Airport, Oshkosh, Wisc.
July 23-29
NOTE: There are no flights for fans at this show but you can see the Batcopter there.

Fiberglass Freaks Comic Con – Logansport/Cass County Airport, Logansport, Ind.
September 21-23

NOTE: Fiberglass Freaks is the only licensed builder of 1966 Batmobile replicas and vehicles will also be on display.

  1. Wow! Wish it could land atop The Hollywood Museum while the Batman ‘66 Exhibit is there!
