OK, we all know about Wonder Woman’s spin from the TV show:

And we know that, in the comics, she started using her lasso to change from Diana Prince to Wonder Woman in the 1970s — 1974’s Wonder Woman #212, by Len Wein, Curt Swan and Tex Blaisdell, to be precise:

Before that, she pretty much did it like any other hero, as shown in the 1958 classic Wonder Woman #103, by Robert Kanigher, Ross Andru and Mike Esposito:

I suspect that Andru shot is what the TV producers thought they were adapting with the spin. At first glance it sort of looks like she’s spinning as she disrobes.

Actually, the Wonder Woman spin on the television series was Lynda Carter’s idea. She had training in ballet and thought it would be a graceful way to go from Diana Prince to Wonder Woman.
