A startling collection of memorabilia…
Over the last couple years, we’ve chronicled a fantastic collection of original Batman ’66 costumes and props owned by an anonymous collector who chooses to call himself “Alfred.” (Click here to check it out because it’ll blow your Bat-mind.)
Anyway, you’ve probably heard of an auction coming up from a different collection — John Azarian’s spectacular treasure trove of classic, screen-worn TV and film outfits, props and memorabilia.
That auction — featuring a phenomenal 216 items — is Dec. 17 via Profiles in History in Calabasas, Calif.
Well, as we do in these parts, we’re bringing you the 13 GROOVIEST ITEMS FROM THE FAMED AZARIAN COLLECTION AUCTION, complete with pix and cost estimates.
My original intent was to make it all Batman ’66 because there’s a broad range from the show and movie in the auction, including the only known complete Batman and Robin costumes. But in poking around the catalogue, there was so much more to choose from that I broadened my scope a little bit, so that some other faves got some attention. (I’m also counting the Dynamic Duo’s duds as a single item because they’re being sold together.)
So here are the 13 GROOVIEST ITEMS FROM THE FAMED AZARIAN COLLECTION AUCTION:
—
ADAM WEST’S BATMAN AND BURT WARD’S ROBIN COSTUMES (Est. $150,000-$200,000)
—

It’s been reported the auction is only about 25% of his total collection! I wonder what cool stuff he is holding onto! 🙂
