SUPERMAN ’78 #6 Promises ‘Final Battle’ for Metropolis

Superman has to save his adopted city and Kandor…

Superman ’78 by Robert Venditti, Wilfredo Torres and Jordie Bellaire, has been a real kick. Too bad the miniseries has to end in January.

But hey, at least it looks like the finale will be a doozy.

The final battle for Metropolis is here! Superman stands against Brainiac as he tries to save his city from being cataloged and bottled by the mechanical menace. But can Superman save his adoptive city and the bottled city of Kandor from Brainiac’s clutches, or will he be forced to make the impossible choice?

A couple thoughts:

— The main cover by Mikel Janin, who draws pretty things, has not been released yet.

— Two issues in and this book passes the “voice” test — meaning the characters sound like the actors in my head. That’s huge — even beyond the pitch-perfect story.
