A few thoughts:
— The calendar is due July 22, 2024 and lists for $31.99.
— Amazon has it listed but does not yet have a purchase option. It will also be available through comics shops, where you can pre-order now.
— Those posters actually look like sticker sheets to me. We’ll see. But I dig that the Bronze Age Batman comes from one of my favorite issues — 1975’s Batman #263. The art is by Dick Giordano.
— Trends International also has a couple of Marvel options for you, if you’re interested. Click here.

That’s a pretty cool calendar design.

I do take issue with their “Ages” of comics. I think there have been a couple of ages since 1985. And honestly, that 85 age only lasted until around 1992 when Image came along, which created an age of its own in the rest of the 1990s. I think the modern age probably only started around 2005.

Take this with a grain of salt, but a site called Comicbookhistorians.com has 8 ages:
Platinum Age (1897-1937), Golden Age (1938-1947), Atomic Age (1948-1955), Silver Age (1956-1969), Bronze Age (1970-1984), Dark or Copper Age (1985-1991), Extreme Age (1992-1998), Movie Age (1998 – 2016)

Thanks. I’ve considered proposing a set of ages, too. The thing is, while it’s a fun exercise, these never seem to catch on.

Does the art tear out to be used as posters, as previous DC calenders did?

There’s always been a lot of debate about the starts and ends of the various ages. I don’t like that it seems to focus on Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman. Why not the other characters?
May 24, 2024
I suppose because they are the company’s Big Three. Many other characters are in there, but yes, there is a heavy focus on Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.
