A few thoughts:

— The 7-inch DC Multiverse figure will be available for preorder Thursday, Oct. 17. Click here.

— The exact price and release date have not been announced. Nor is there any info on accessories.

— But so what? The fig looks GREAT. It could come as is and I’d be all in. Manufacturers seem to have a tough time with Reeve’s likeness, making it too serious or too, well, dorky. This one is on the money.

  1. That’s one terrific Superman figure. I think I’d prefer a unified, smooth torso for display purposes—but that’s a minor issue.

A major win would be a complete line of figures from the original Chris Reeve Superman saga, namely:

Clark Kent (with fedora); Lois Lane (maybe from the flying sequence); Luthor (with Kryptonite and interchangeable toupees). A Phantom Zone 3-pack (Zod, Ursa, Non) with hoola hoop containment rings. The Super-Family of Jor-El (in LED illuminated lab suit with green crystal, OR black prosecutor robe with pointer of judgment), and Lara with the blanket-swaddled Babe of Steel.

I might not have the nerve for an authentic Miss Tessmacher, but sweet Lana Lang from S3 would be a nice addition.

    • Agreed John. And long overdue.

Personally, apart from George Reeves as Superman, a figure of his role as Clark Kent would fulfill a lifelong wish.

(Your icon of Tobor the 8th Man made me smile. Thanks.)

      • Thanks Chris, 8th Man was my favorite back in the day. But I still would like a George Reeves Superman figure before I leave this planet.
