As Brainiac attacks Metropolis for Lex Luthor’s transgressions, Superman works as fast as he can to escape the bottled city of Kandor! But what it will take to get free from the shrunken Kryptonian city might be more than the Man of Steel can handle. Will he be able to leave behind the people he thought he lost and save his adoptive world, or will Superman be cataloged and preserved permanently by Brainiac?

A few thoughts:
— Both of those covers are dandy, aren’t they? Manapul’s looks like it could be a movie poster for the real Superman III, which is what this comic feels like.
— One thing I loved about the first two Christopher Reeve Superman movies was that they eschewed most Silver Age arcana. (Sorry!) Writer Robert Venditti so far is doing an excellent job of meshing the sensibilities.

I like how both covers are different, yet they capture the spirit of Christopher Reeve’s Superman.
