CAPTAIN AMERICA WEEK: Our 13 Favorite CIVIL WAR Covers

Whose side are you on?

It’s CAPTAIN AMERICA WEEK, celebrating the Star-Spangled Sentinel of Liberty — from yesterday to today, from page to screen.

And no celebration would be complete without a 13 COVERS extravaganza! First it was the Golden Age (click here), then the Silver Age (click here), then the Bronze Age (click here)!

Now, in moving into the Modern Age, I decided the only way to go was to really focus on Civil War, the original Marvel event from 10 years ago. There were so many tie-ins and offshoots that there was a lot to choose from. But I do acknowledge a bias against those half-cover images. It’s not the art itself, it’s the presentation. So you’ll only see a couple of those.

Anyway, and be sure you check out the CAPTAIN AMERICA WEEK Index, where you can find other stories — such as a great piece on Steranko’s Cap and an essay by Steve Englehart.

The Index will be updated throughout the week. Click here.
