13 COVERS: CAPTAIN AMERICA’s Silver Age Team-Ups

Sometimes you just wanna punch your friend, y’know?

It’s CAPTAIN AMERICA WEEK, celebrating the Star-Spangled Sentinel of Liberty — from yesterday to today, from page to screen.

And no celebration would be complete without a 13 COVERS extravaganza! First it was the Golden Age (click here) now it’s the Silver Age!

By the way, since Civil War is all about friends and getting pissed at your friends, these covers feature Cap and his allies together — or against each other.

Oh, and be sure you check out the CAPTAIN AMERICA WEEK Index, where you can find other stories — such as a great piece on Steranko’s Cap and an essay by Steve Englehart.

The Index will be updated throughout the week. Click here.

  1. I love that Giacoia inked Kirby cover. Giacoia had a flair. He was my favorite Ross Andru inker on Spider-Man and always made stuff look slick. Not sure what he did but have always liked his stuff. Strange that I don’t know more about him or more hasn’t been written on him. That’d be a good subject of a book for TwoMorrows to put out.
