A few thoughts:
— Marvel can never seem to get enough of Secret Wars. They’ve gone back to that well many times over — including the upcoming miniseries Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars: Battleworld, which takes place during the original event. It starts in November.
— The Secret Wars #1 Facsimile is due Jan. 3, 2024, the same month as the original issue’s 40th anniversary.
— More variant covers! Now Marvel and DC are both in on the action. I love that Facsimiles have become so popular that variants are now a routine thing.

That series gets some hate, but as a 10 year old at the time I loved it.
I was always fascinated that there was a cover or promo image with a character I didn’t know on it (I think it was Kitty Pryde?) and another version that had Thor and Mister Fantastic.

In the day, I was not a fan about the story. Mike Zeck art however! I’ll get a few copies for the spinner rack. Grandsons might enjoy the story.
