SNEAK PEEK: A spot-on tribute to Bronze Age Marvel horror superhero comics…

Our pal Dakota Alexander’s The Hunter — a series that pays homage to Marvel’s Bronze Age horror superheroes but with a creator-owned character at its center — has become a cult-favorite among fans of classic comics.
Because Dakota produces each issue soup to nuts — including faux ads — and is otherwise gainfully employed, it takes a lot of time to put an issue together. Well, now, finally, Issue #2 is upon us with a new Kickstarter campaign!

“The Hunter comic is a cover-to-cover authentic, retro, early-’80s Bronze Age superhero horror comic, featuring era-authentic retro ads, and is printed on newsprint!” sez Dakota, whose weekly HOPE YOU LIKE IT column runs Thursdays here at 13th Dimension. “Issue #2, titled “Malleus Maleficarum,” continues the thrilling adventures of the Hunter — an antler-crested, monster-fighting hero, who is actually an entity made from the combined spirits of novelist Steven Conrad and Herne, the God of the Hunt.”
The issue will also feature a variant cover by Bronze Age stalwart Chuck Patton…

… and here’s a SNEAK PEEK at the ish itself:

And if you want to get caught up with Issue #1, they’ll be available through the Kickstarter too — with improved printing and coloring!
