I wish I could figure out why DC’s facsimile line is so robust and dynamic while Marvel’s feels so random and scattershot. Am I getting all of these? Yes. And I’m actually impressed that they’re going for two X-Men Dracula stories and not just the first one. But man, I miss when we had two years of complete facsimile runs and I’m shocked they still haven’t reprinted Lee and Kirby’s first dozen Avengers issues.

They are reprinting these to tie into the launch of a new series called Midnight X-Men which is an alt that spins out of these I think.
I think the yearlong reprint program is dead because the collections they made out of those for Secret Wars and Black Costume Spider-Man tanked. I mean they did do one for the first 7 issues of Silver Surfer so I guess they still might do smaller runs. If they have a movie or big modern comics launch they’ll do facsimiles based from those.

I would rather see more Marvel Silver Age keys than entire series reprints. In a perfect world we’d actually get some Golden Age facsimiles.
