Starting in December…
Right now, Marvel seems to have three main buckets for its storytelling — Doctor Doom, mutants, and symbiotes. Come December, the House of Ideas will tap into that last one with a five-part series that retells Venom’s 1980s introduction to the Marvel Universe, but from the symbiote’s perspective.
Venom: POV, written by Ryan Stegman with art by Carlos Gomez, slithers your way beginning December 2.

“For anyone of my generation, this story was as exciting as it gets,” Stegman said. “However, it did leave a lot of questions about Eddie (Brock) that needed answering. … Hope I can make that happen!”
Details are otherwise scarce but will be revealed in the weeks ahead.

This is an amazing comic idea. Not to long ago I was speaking to a friend about a specific comic:
In that comic, Peter Parker always wakes up tired and sleepy and he doesn’t know why until he finds out the symbiote, Venom, has been doing night patrols. Saving New York when Peter can’t. But, to keep his mind (and his sanity), Peter gets rid of the symbiote. Venom, taking this rejection the wrong way, wants revenge on Peter.
Sorry, I just geeked out for a second. But basically, my friend and I were wondering ‘how exactly did Venom feel in that situation?’. We understand that Parker is tired, exhausted, and feels like he’s being used and being used like a puppet. Though, how did Venom feel (rejection, obviously).
It feels good knowing we’ll have a comic from Venom’s perspective. I feel like that is such an intelligent idea, and I would absolutely love to read that comic when it finally comes out.
