MARVEL Adds New EPIC COLLECTIONS to 2024 Roster

A quintet of Bronze Age-era editions are coming your way…

It’s been some time since we’ve gotten word of some new Epic Collections coming from Marvel, but the logjam has finally broken: Five more Bronze Age (or Bronze-ish) Epics have joined the 2024 line-up — featuring the Sub-Mariner, Incredible Hulk, Fantastic Four and Ghost Rider.

There are also a slew of re-releases coming and you can read more about that here.

Meanwhile, dig these five in store, according to the Epic Marvel Podcast, which has a direct pipeline to Epic Collection Central, much in the way we do with Facsimile Editions. In other words, if they’re reporting it, you can bank on it, even if Marvel hasn’t announced it yet.

Details are still sketchy, but dig these three from the Bronze Age, plus a couple of noteworthy selections from the late 1980s:

A few thoughts:

— These are not the only new Epics in the hopper, just the ones I think would be most of interest to 13th Dimension readers. Check out the Epic Marvel Podcast’s Facebook page for more.

— Keep an eye out for pricing, page-count and release-date details. They’ll come soon enough.

— There will be more announcements in the weeks to come. I’m hopeful that The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 11 is coming soon. The first 10 have been printed or announced, bringing us up to 1978, so far.

Standard Caveat: Marvel has not solicited any of these, but again, if the Epic Marvel Podcast has announced it, you can be certain it’s on the way. Things can always change, however, so stay loose.

  1. I wish I had more time to read a ton more of these Epic Collections. There is so much great stuff in them!

I have a Hulk: Ground Zero TPB from ages ago, but it only covers issues 340 to 346; I see this new Collections goes as far back as issue 331, plus The Big Change graphic novel (which I have the first edition of already). Awesome stuff!
