DESPOP TUESDAYS!
Last week, we ran a bunch of Des Taylor’s homages to Marvel’s Silver and Bronze Age corner boxes. They’re really groovy, so check ’em out.
Turnabout being fair play, Des wanted to do something similar for DC. Thing is, DC has never had a corner-box style that’s grabbed fans’ attention in the same way.
What to do? Make up you’re own! Here’s a lineup of imaginary corner boxes starring DC’s heavy hitters.

Cool stuff! Would love to see some examples with more DC Super Stars like Supergirl, the Huntress, other members of the the JSA, Legion and even semi-obscure folks like Metamorpho, the Warlord and the Creeper!

While DC never had the classic Marvel style corner boxes, I do recall they’d often have miniature figures or floating heads of the backup characters in Action Comics, etc. during the Bronze Age.

Those look killer! Fantastic job. I miss the corner boxes on Marvel, and these would have been pretty cool, too. I don’t buy new, so I get a blast from my past when I dig through my many long boxes. 🙂
