DC Comics is listening…

The good folks at Near Mint Condition have a groovy poll going that allows you to vote for DC Finest editions you want to see — and it’s been “designed with input from the DC Collected Editions Department.”
So if you dig the DC Finest series — and who doesn’t — this is a bona fide chance for you to have your voice heard. There are two basic categories: new DC Finest volumes for existing lines and new DC Finest title lines.
Here’s the link. All you need to do is follow the directions.
The poll ends June 10. You can tune in to Near Mint Condition on June 15 for the live announcement of the results. What DC does after that, only the future knows.
For the record, here are my choices:
NEW VOLUMES — EXISTING LINES (You get up to eight choices, in order of preference.)
1. Batman: Bronze Age – The 1970s (1971 – 1979) [volumes between The Demon Lives Again! & The Curse of Crime Alley]
2. Batman: Silver Age – New Look (1964 – 1969) [volumes prior to The Demon Lives Again!, starting with Detective Comics #327]
3. Batman: Golden Age (1941 – 1955) [volumes after The Case of the Chemical Syndicate]
4. Batgirl: Barbara Gordon, Silver, Bronze, & Post-Crisis (1967 – 1998) [may collect some Oracle content]

5. Robin: Dick Grayson, The Golden Age (1940 – 1964) [volume prior to The Origin of Robin, solo material from Star Spangled Comics (1941)]
6. Justice Society of America: Silver Age & Bronze Age (1963 – 1986) [Crisis on Multiple Earths and present-day Earth-Two stories through Last Days]

7. Flash: Silver Age – Barry Allen (1961 – 1970) [volumes between The Human Thunderbolt & The Fastest Man Dead]
8. Green Lantern: Silver Age – Hal Jordan Vol. 1 (1959 – 1963) [volume prior to The Defeat of Green Lantern]

1. Atom (1940 – 2011) [Al Pratt (Golden Age), Ray Palmer, & Ryan Choi]
2. Eclipso (1963 – 2011)

3. Dial H for Hero (1966 – 2005)
4. Challengers of the Unknown (1957 – 2004)

Thanks for this. My top 3 picks were Batman Bronze Age and then the period up to 2006, followed by the period including 2008 in the hopes that DC picks up on Dan’s idea to print all of the existing Englehart and Rogers Batman, and complete the unpublished Dark Detective 3 mini-series.

I’m 100% going to buy the Robin: Dick Grayson, The Golden Age (1940 – 1964) as well as any other DC Finest book collecting Dick Grayson Robin stories.
But what I’ve really been wanting is Batman:Contagion/Batman:Legacy in one solid collected edition. Though I would much prefer it in omnibus format.
DEFINITELY looking forward to the upcoming Batman Bronze Age omnibus as well as its future volumes. Been waiting forever for those.

I wasn’t able to scroll to the end. Way too many options.
June 6, 2026
Wonder Woman Bronze Age please!!
June 6, 2026
Joe Kubert: Hawkman (Golden Age) and Sgt Rock
Fawcett Shazam Family
June 9, 2026
Absolutely yes to Fawcett Captain Marvel.
DC have never done the character justice
June 6, 2026
Waiting for JSA Volume 3. I’d like to see more Bronze Age volumes than more Silver ones.
June 9, 2026
A full run through the Bronze age has never been done before. Not for any long-running character or team, not that I’m aware of. So I’m up for as many Bronze as I can get.

I’m a big fan of Near Mint Condition and I’m glad they’re doing this. I don’t buy a lot of DC Finest books–I’m more into Absolute Editions, Deluxe Editions, and Omnibuses–but I voted for some of the more obscure titles that likely won’t get the deluxe hardcover treatment anytime soon (Shazam! Golden Age; Ambush Bug; Amethyst; All-Star Squadron; Millennium; Legends; Legends of the Dark Knight; Hawkworld).
I also voted in the recent Omnibus poll. I hope they do a similar poll for Absolute Editions.

I filled it in a few days ago, but that ranking system was a massive pain. Why couldn’t we just tick five or eight boxes for our top picks?
June 7, 2026
I would love to see a DC Finest edition for All Star Squadron.
June 8, 2026
Yes…yes…..the Bronze Age JSA too! I would love them both. Any pre-Crisis/ret-con stories, I’m down for putting on my shelf. I wish we had more prose too of that era.
June 9, 2026
I want this if they’re committed to the full run. I’ve been burned too many times with DC collecting just one or two volumes and leaving the rest uncollected.
June 7, 2026
Here’s what I would like to see in the DC Finest series – and I will go to the link later tonight – but I vote for the following: 1. Bat Lash 2. The early 1970s Adventure Comics from Supergirl’s departure to the arrival of the Spectre – would include the Adventurer’s Club, Captain Fear, and Black Orchid. 3. 1970s Vigilante tales, including Gray Morrow stories. 4. Mr. Action tales of Jimmy Olsen. 5. Rose & Thorn.
June 9, 2026
I’d love to see a decent Infinity Inc collection Preiews and first 7 or so issues.
Milestone that’s not static needs collecting especially Xombi and one I’m probably alone in wanting the V1 and 2 Secret Six so 7 issue series and collection of Action Comics Weekly

EXISTING LINES
1. Please complete the run from BATMAN 1968-1990, including a second Robin volume, a second Joker volume, and a Batgirl volume. After that, move into the 1990s.
2. Full commitment to AQUAMAN from 1941-1986. (I am very concerned DC will abandon Aquaman after just one volume.)
3. TEEN TITANS from 1965-1990 or so.
4. HAWKMAN from 1940-1987 (or his last appearance before Hawkworld).
5. Finish the GA JSA/ALL-STAR COMICS run up to issue 57.
NEW LINES
1. Golden Age HAWKMAN (don’t start it if you won’t complete it; I already have the archives).
2. WARLORD (full series).
3. “Earth 2 during the Earth 1 era” (for lack of a better name)… all stories featuring Earth 2 heroes from Flash 123 to Crisis, whether solo or in team books, that don’t get their own volumes (like Spectre)…. speaking of…
4. ALL-STAR SQUADRON
5. SA Atom, on through all his backup stories.
