Lyle Waggoner, the suavely handsome actor best known for his role as Steve Trevor on Wonder Woman and as a member of Carol Burnett’s comedic ensemble, has died at the age of 84, according to reports.
And, of course, Waggoner also screen-tested as Batman for the 1966 TV show:

Very sad. I always thought he made a better looking Batman. He LOOKS more like the Bruce Wayne and Batman of the comics. But as far as acting goes I think Adam West was the better choice for the campy type of show it was especially.
