LONG LIVE THE LEGION: Edmond Hamilton to Get ALTER EGO Spotlight

Roy Thomas’ mag to salute the science-fiction writer — one of the Legion of Super-Heroes’ earliest scribes…

TwoMorrows has added three new issues of Alter Ego to its catalogue and the one that grabs my attention most is Issue #187, spotlighting writer Edmond Hamilton.

Dig the official description:

ALTER EGO #187

May 2024 – 84 pages (FULL COLOR)

Alter Ego #187 focuses on Edmond Hamilton, one of the great early science-fiction authors—who then went on to an illustrious career at DC Comics, writing Superman, Batman, and especially The Legion of Super-Heroes! Learn all about his encounters with Ray Bradbury, Mort Weisinger, Julius Schwartz, et al—a panoply of titans! Plus FCA (Fawcett Collectors of America), Michael T. Gilbert in Mr. Monster’s Comic Crypt, and more! Edited by Roy Thomas.

A couple thoughts:

— The mag has a tentative release date of April 17, 2024. You can already pre-order it from TwoMorrows. Click here. (It will also be available at your local comics shop and through magazine sellers.)

— But wait there’s more! TwoMorrows has released the covers and descriptions for two other new Alter Ego issues. Ish #185 is about the Novelty Comics Group (click here for more info) and Ish #186 features artist Angelo Torres (click here).

— If you dig Edmond Hamilton, you might want to check out Peter Bosch’s 13 SUPER STORIES: An EDMOND HAMILTON Birthday Celebration. It’s marvelous. Click here.
