Marvel’s August solicitations are scheduled to be released later this week but we’ve got a groovy SNEAK PEEK at the three — count ’em, three — Facsimile Editions headed your way. The biggest release is The Amazing Spider-Man #300 — featuring the first full appearance by Venom — but we’re also getting Werewolf by Night #33 (with Moon Knight’s second appearance) and a new printing of Giant Size X-Men #1.

Obligatory Price Comparison #1. An unslabbed, NM+ copy of the original Amazing Spider-Man #300, which came out in 1988, recently sold on eBay for $1,300.

Obligatory Price Comparison #2. An unslabbed, midgrade copy of the original Werewolf by Night #33, which came out in 1975, recently sold on eBay for about $430. Meanwhile, a Werewolf by Night #32 Facsimile Edition, released in 2021, went for $43.

Obligatory Price Comparison #3. An unslabbed, VF/NM copy of the original Giant-Size X-Men #1, which also came out in 1975, recently sold on eBay for $8,500. Meanwhile, the original Giant-Size X-Men #1 Facsimile Edition, released in 2019, went for $40.
